The Santa Cruz Squares was a GLBT square dance club for folks in the Monterey Bay area. The club was started in 1996.

It's not like you remember from grade school.

Square dancing is one of the coolest new social activities in our community. There are thousands of dancers and over 50 clubs throughout the United States, Canada, Denmark and Japan!

You don't need a partner, you don't need to know anything about dancing, and you don't need to be coordinated. You just need a pair of comfortable shoes and the desire to have fun!

Just over the hill (i.e. the Santa Cruz mountains) check out our big sister club, the El Camino Reelers in Palo Alto.
